It’s been a long day

As we wait to board our flight, I find it incredibly hard to believe we’re actually doing it. Talking about it seems a child’s play comparing to actually embark on this journey.

After cleaning, packing, storing, preparing for the last few days and nights, we left home this evening and made our way to YVR.

Today’s shortlist included:

• park the car in a reserved parking spot in our complex and switch the insurance policy to storage
• cancel Costco membership
• last minute return to MEC and of course some purchases (M really likes her shiny Pacsafe purse)
• attempt to open an HSBC account and then figuring it might not be worth it
• store all important documents and computer backups in our safe
• buy last minute Tylenol kids
• Forward mail to our dear friends address

We got a cab to the quay and from there by Seabus and Skytrain to YVR. As usual, YVR restaurants close fairly early, so it is hard to get something to eat, we’ll wait for some plane’s food instead.
