Early this morning, Disney’s long-awaited streaming platform, Disney+ was officially launched. But their entrance into the streaming wars definitely wasn’t seamless.

Instead of consumers’ expectations of their introduction to the platform being like walking through the front door of the Magic Kingdom castle, many were instead greeted with error screens.

Granted, they were pretty cute.

At 7 am, 7,300 error reports were submitted, according to Downdetector. And by 9 am, that number peaked at 8,600. The errors ranged from problems logging in and setting up profiles, missing content, and general loading errors. And with everyone freaking out at once, the customer service wait times were extremely long.

Fans have been geeked for this launch since Disney first announced the possibility of it happening what seems like years ago. So, needless to say, people were pretty disappointed, and they took to Twitter to talk about it. As people do.

A Disney+ spokesperson spoke on the issue, saying that “the consumer demand for Disney+ has exceeded our high expectations. We are please by this incredible response and are working to quickly resolve the current user issue. We appreciate your patience.”

While some people criticize Disney’s apparent lack of preparation for a launch of this magnitude, some people are a little more understanding of the sheer amount of people trying to push through Disney+’s virtual front door at the same time.

Regardless of the technical problems, many people still seem pleased with the selections that the streaming platform has to offer, including over 7,500 episodes of previously-aired favorites and 500 movies.
