L’Oreal recently launched a brand new sustainable beauty brand called Seed Phytonutrients. The beauty products even come in paper packaging. It used to be that these products were hard to find and could only be purchased at small specialty stores; however, this is no longer the case.

Macaela Mackenzie of Allure added, “Major retailers like Walmart are getting in on the eco-friendly action. As more and more brands hop on board, it’s becoming clear that earth-friendly practices — going cruelty free, vegan, all-natural, or switching to sustainable production and packaging- aren’t just a fad, but the future of the industry.”

L’Oreal stated that its new beauty line is focused on both the well-being of those using the products and the well-being of the environment. The ingredients in the products are from local farms in Pennsylvania, where L’Oreal is based. Mackenzie added, “The line also promotes seed diversity by using heirloom seeds (aka seeds passed down through generations via open-pollinated plants) versus hybrid or GMO seeds in its formulas.”

This new beauty line consists of 16 products including some for hair care, some body care, and some skincare.
