International Women’s Day #IWD2021 is not about “just” celebrating women’s achievements during this particular day, at least not for me. It is about celebrating the ones who make a difference, fighting for egalitarian opportunities, and enabling real change with their actions every day during the years. Today’s post — ahead of tomorrow’s IWD — is a post where I would like to encourage women #worldwide, bringing #hope and #positivity, ensuring that change is happening, that there are people who care and truly enforce #diversity and inclusion.

Today’s post is also a post of gratitude. I want to thank my manager Peter Johnson for believing in me and allowing me to evolve, learn and achieve further steps in my career as a professional in the cybersecurity field.
Today’s post is about celebrating my other colleagues excelling in their jobs, being real role models, and exceptional women Cristina Vigilante, Joan Collar, Nelia Argaz Durango, Sashnee Singh (CCISO), Jessica So to name a few.

Today’s post is about thanking my mentors, from whom I learn every day Corrado Zana, and Paul Wilkins.

Today’s post is about celebrating my fantastic colleagues who are exceptionally inclusive, diverse, fair, and AWESOME.
Happy #IWD21 ! Marsh Mercer Marsh & McLennan Companies #choosetochallenge2021

International Women’s Day is not the only day to celebrate women’s successes. We should all support each other, encourage and help address challenges we face on our path to success, which means different things for each of us. Respecting this — is a critical point to consider when empowering women.

I have personally experienced excellent support and mentorship from both genders. Born in Poland and raised in Tunisia, after a few hops, I landed in Singapore, where I am currently leading cyber advisory for Marsh Asia. My success was always defined by leadership and business, with a magical touch of cybersecurity. Empowered with opportunities that I have chased, I have also taken the initiative to describe and set my expectations, including longer-term goals, clearly to my managers across my career. This is an advise that I will give to every female professional. I would not be where I am if I did not define my goals and ask for mentorship to achieve those.

Thus, International Women’s Day reminds us that we should celebrate each other’s successes, whatever they are. Still, it should drive us towards a continuous journey of empowerment and support that will not require a specific day anymore to do so.

Update on 6th of November 2021:

I left the firm, however with beautiful memorieS.
