A lot of people think writing online is going to make them a lot of money. The truth of the matter is that writing online is a lot of work. It takes time for you to get established, and the money will not come in like you think it will.

When you work a regular full-time job, you get a guaranteed paycheck every few weeks. You also get paid sick time in many jobs, and you don’t have to worry that much about your money. When you are an online writer, you will go from job to job. Some of these jobs might pay you a lot, while others might not pay you much at all. There may be long stretches when you don’t work. You have to anticipate these periods when you might not be working. Here are some ways to get the money rolling.

Online Jobs — Medium

There are many ways you can make money with your writing online.

For example, writing articles here on Medium will make you a slow but steady amount of cash. Some people might make quite a bit initially, but most will find that it takes several months to a couple of years before they start to see a decent amount of income here. Medium is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
