Wright and Rago have joined forces. Often competitors, we are now collaborators. We will continue to operate under our individual names while sharing technology, expertise and marketing efforts. Our joint entity will have stronger reach and broader team of specialists based along the East Coast and the Mid-West. With $65+ million in consolidated annual sales, the combined company has a team of 75 and nearly a century of auction experience. Rago’s broad expertise in art, jewelry, ceramics and estates and Wright’s focus on design and innovative presentation will be combined to better serve our clients and maintain and grow a strong voice in the world of art and design.

I am excited and a bit nervous as we begin a new chapter. As independent owners of small companies, we have created our own cultures from scratch. Rago and Wright are companies with long back stories. Our companies can feel like family, Wright literally began that way. I began this adventure over 30 years ago, starting out in a flea market in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. I took every step in-between working my way up through the ranks as a dealer. In 1993 I became an auction specialist at Treadway and in 2000 opened Wright. My new partners, David Rago and Suzanne Perrault share a similar self-made backstory. We began when the market was smaller and we both learned along the way. Our career journeys have been one of continual growth, both professionally and personally.

Over the coming months, together we will be better prepared to build on the great work we each do. Our goals are to serve our buyers and sellers by bringing an innovate mix of design, art and the unexpected to the market. Consignors trust us with precious goods that they have often cared for and lived with for years. We tell their stories and the stories of the designers, the makers and artists that make our world so special.

Innovation in this increasingly competitive and digital world takes a great team; together we will have that team. In the auction world you are only as good as your next sale. Our journey continues based on the same love, care and passion which brought us into this industry.

I hope you will share the journey with us.
