The 5th DartUP conference happened on December 4th and 5th, 2020. We wish we could gather people around, invite speakers from around the world and throw an afterparty afterwards, and you know what — we did it all online! Keep reading and learn what you’ve missed (we’ll share all the recordings though).

This year was the first time we went online with DartUp. The only conference (in English and in Russian) about Dart and Flutter was a huge success:

  • 2 days and 10 hours of talks and activities
  • 29 speakers (from Google, Wrike, Mews, and more)
  • 2,200 registrants
  • 2,500 unique visitors on YouTube
  • 474 likes and 0 dislikes.

We put a lot of effort into making a not ‘yet another conference’, but a 2-day rollercoaster with meaningful talks about Dart & Flutter, online competition games made by Dart enthusiasts, and an afterparty in Spatial chat.

A virtual room in Spatial chat after all the talks were over

In case you missed the whole fun, we have all the video recordings available forever on our Youtube channel (talks in English are at the bottom).

Here are some of them:

Michael Thomson from Google on Dart non-nullability:

Kirill Bubochkin from Mews on his 1-year experience with Flutter:

Some Flutter live coding from Matěj Krček:
