Wrinkl, Inc. issued patent for Cross-Channel Message Posting
Wrinkl improves messaging functionality and adds another significant patent to its portfolio of foundational messaging inventions.
Until now, posting a message to multiple channels required copying a message received in one channel and then in some manner pasting it to additional channels. This multi-step process was performed either manually or via some sort of user-directed sharing mechanism. In most cases the process required the cross-channel posted message to already exist before the sharing to additional channels could be done. In the cases where a new message could be both created and transmitted from an existing channel to additional channels, these additional channels were required to be newly spawned as part of the process.
Wrinkl has long recognized the utility a cross-channel posting feature would have that enabled users to draft a message and post it to multiple pre-existing channels in a single transmission. Wrinkl’s recently issued US Patent No. 11,388,120 titled “Parallel Message Apparatus and Method Thereof” is the culmination of this insight.
With this patent, Wrinkl continues to build a patent portfolio of critical messaging innovations such as References (enabling users to identify and reference one or more previously posted messages), Attribution (ascribing credit to users when they endorse certain content to their channel-mates), Private Replies (enabling message senders to request and receive private in-channel replies to messages sent to a subset of channel members), Email Integration (enabling users to add “outsiders” to group conversations via their email address), and Double At-Mention (@@mention) (quieting channels by allowing senders to send certain messages to only specified channel members).
