The Ends of Globalization

Because pandemic gives people more time to explore what they really want to do as their job, people’s view of job may fundamentally be changed through pandemic time. Like Joanne Lipman, a TIME’s writer wrote, “Then the pandemic shutdown hit, and they, like millions of others, found their world upended.” (TIME 2021). A lot of people tried different kinds of jobs in pandemic time for different reasons such as earning more money or having more time to spend with their family. During the exploration of diverse fields, lots of people find something they really enjoy working with. In other words, the change of world changes people’s priority in their life in addition to changing their view of the job. However, I do not think everyone can find their “true love” for the job. First, most people add some part-time job just want to earn more money rather than find some new hobbies. Also, there were a lot of people doing the job they love before the pandemic and the pandemic did not change anything.
