Who's the greatest actor of all time?

We’ve all got our own answer to this question, no doubt influenced by our favorite films and preferred genres.

But what if it were possible to land on an objective answer by crunching several opinions into a master list with one ultimate winner?

That’s where I come in …

For this article, I looked at six best actor lists from across the Internet and developed a scoring system. (I would have looked at more than six, but it was really tough to find lists that merged male and female actors together.)

The scoring system was simple …

Every time an actor made an appearance in a list, they received some points: ten points for first place, nine points for second place, eight points for third place, and so on. I also took into account their highest position across all six lists and how often they appeared — this helped me avoid any ties.

So, having done all the calculations, here are the results of my research:
