10 Greatest Movies From the 1950s (According to the Internet)
Can Hitchcock claim the top prize?
Movies are a big niche on the Internet; people just love putting their film-fixated opinions into the online realm, often in the form of a list.
But what if it were possible to turn these opinions into facts? What if someone did some number crunching and created a master list?
That’s where I come in …
In preparation for this article, I looked at ten separate best-of lists for one decade in particular: the 1950s.
I then allocated points based on where the films ranked on each list. (Ten points for first place, nine points for second place, and so on …) In the event of a tie, I also took note of each film’s peak position and how consistently they appeared.
So, without any further ado, here are the results of my research:
10. Tokyo Story
