In the present world’s noise, endless notifications, responsibilities, social media, social engagements, work, and much more, the mind is bound to suffer. I often get overwhelmed, and my mind wanders; I lose concentration or feel stressed. I’ve devised mechanisms to help myself cope by calming my mind amidst the chaos. I call it “walking my soul back home.” Here’s a peek at my me-time and peaceful mind recipe.

1. Running — In the Woods

I love the forest. The environment is therapeutic — the sound of birds, the air, and the smell of nature. I focus on my surroundings, breath, feet hitting the ground, or how my body feels as I run. When I don’t have time, I discovered that even a quick five-minute run anywhere works wonders. Here’s a picture of a companion I met on my last run. This, only, was the highlight of that day — amazing!
