3 Activities I Do When I Don’t Feel Like Writing (But Help Me Write Later)
The third one is my favorite.
Every writer has experienced the feeling of not wanting to write. It can be due to a lack of ideas, inspiration, or simply the desire to write.
No matter how much I preach about the importance of writing daily, there are still days when I don’t feel like writing. With time and experience, I have understood that feeling that way is okay.
After all, we are humans.
What do you do when you don’t feel like writing?
In the initial days, I wasn’t sure. I felt frustrated because I couldn’t create anything.
However, gaining more experience has taught me to utilize unproductive days to my advantage.
Instead of feeling frustrated, I use my non-writing days to feed my mind with ideas and inspiration. There are several ways I do that.
Activity #1
I read books. I always carry at least two books with me. So, when I have nothing to write about, I read a book to feed my brain with information.
It doesn’t necessarily have to do anything with writing. I just like to enjoy reading. Fortunately, inspiration strikes every time I open a book and read it.
