Motherhood is a blessing.

Your child rests his head on your shoulder while you sing a song to them after a walk. These are those small moments that make a mother feel truly blessed.

However, motherhood is also a huge struggle for all mothers, especially if they are suffering from postpartum depression.

It is emotionally and physically draining and leaves a woman with several insecurities about her abilities as a mother.

That is why it is important to help them as much as possible.

Hence below are 4 essential things I did for my best friend when she was struggling postpartum.

1. I booked a cook for her for the whole month

I told her it was my first gift to her on becoming a mother.

And since we are soul sisters, I want to spoil her in every way that I can.

I get it. Most of our friends do not like it when we help them with things they do every day on their own.

But whether you realise it or not, a new mother already has a big responsibility: her newborn.
