It’s hard to feel sorry for these idiots

You can call me a sexist, but in my experience, men are more arrogant than women.

I’m not saying arrogance is exclusive to men, nor do I believe all men are more arrogant than all women. But on average, I see this trait in my own sex much more than in the opposite.

Why does this matter?

Well, arrogance can have frightening consequences when it goes too far, and in some cases, it can even result in death.

Is it wrong to laugh at someone’s death?

Probably, but it’s hard not to when you look into the case of Franz Reichelt and his useless parachute.

Reichelt made his invention in the early twentieth century. It was a time when airplanes were in their infancy, and Reichelt thought he could save lives by inventing a special suit with wing-like arms. This — supposedly — would slow the fall of anyone plummeting to the ground.
