You can disagree if you like, but personally, I think the modern world is a good place to be, relatively speaking.

I can watch a documentary, read up on my favorite historical period, or check a statistic on Google in a few simple clicks.

Having access to all this information is a privilege, but it comes at a cost.

Unfortunately, it’s never been easier to spread disinformation, and these mistruths quickly move across the Internet’s membrane into the real world, with many people repeating “facts” that are actually complete nonsense.

So, having done my research, here are four popular myths people should stop believing.

Myth #1: A Munchkin Actor Committed Suicide in The Wizard of Oz
