4 Ways To Maximize Your Morning As A Writer

--

Routine is key

We all have a favourite time in the day to write. Personally, I love writing in the afternoon. I need to have my lunch before I do any work, otherwise I can’t concentrate. I’ve never been a morning writer, mostly because I like to catch up on the news in the morning, as well as the previous night’s talk shows and the likes that I may have missed.

But lately, I’ve been trying to do some work in the morning to try and maximise my day, and I’ve come up with ways of getting round to it that I would like to share with you.

Go for a walk

As we all know, walking is extremely beneficial in a number of ways. It’s great for your health, both physical and mental, you get to connect with nature and all it brings, and you get to experience a little bit of the world each time you walk out the door. This will unlock your imagination and you might get some outside inspiration for when you get back inside and sit down to write.

My mornings start off with a walk with my dog Rio, and by the time we get back, I’m all reinvigorated! I have my tea, and after a few YouTube videos, I sit at my desk and write.
