Taking risks isn’t an inherently bad thing to do, but it’s important to get the balance right.

Sensible people weigh up the cost and benefit of risky behaviors, taking care to avoid dangerous activities. Others, meanwhile, are foolhardy. They make ludicrous decisions and neglect safety precautions.

Men, with their natural propensity to take risks, are more likely to die this way, and the five men discussed in this article are good examples.

1. Luciano Re Cecconi

Luciano Re Cecconi was an Italian footballer who played for a football club called Lazio, based in Rome.

On the 18th of January 1977, he decided to pull a prank on a local jeweler. Accompanied by a couple of friends, Re Cecconi burst into the jewelry store and yelled, “Give me everything … this is a robbery!”
