9 reasons you’re not getting clients as a freelancer(And how to fix each one)

You’re putting in the hours. You’ve taken the courses, built your portfolio, posted on Instagram, maybe even sent out a few cold DMs.
But you have not got the clients.

It’s frustrating. You begin to question yourself. But here’s the thing most people won’t say out loud: It’s not that you’re not good enough. You’re just missing a few key pieces.

Let’s talk about those pieces. I have been here and I know the pain of each of these.

1. You don’t know who you’re talking to

I’ve made this mistake too — creating content and offers that were technically “helpful,” but so broad they didn’t speak to anyone in particular.

When you try to appeal to everyone, you end up connecting with no one.

Start by getting super clear on your ideal client. Who are they? What problem are they dealing with right now? What result are they craving?

The more specific you are, the more likely someone will read your content and say, “Hey, this feels like it’s written for me.”

2. Your offer isn’t clear
