A glimpse of pure love between…… gone yesterday and coming tomorrow
In today’s busy world, I witnessed a timeless and lovely connection between an elderly woman and a little child. This bond is full of wisdom, innocence, and unspoken understanding.
Each day, I encounter an old woman seated on a park bench, quietly observing the world. Her silver hair and sharp features give her a beautiful appearance.
I always smile at her, but she maintains a stoic expression, perhaps indicating that life’s hardships have made her harsh and her soul thirsts for deep affection.
Yesterday, I also saw her while strolling in the park. Then a little boy came to her and upon seeing him, her eyes lit up. It appeared that they were already familiar with each other.
She inquired, “How are you, my boy?” The boy, with a lisp, responded, “I am good, how are you?”
He began sharing imaginative stories from his little world with her. She attentively listened, no matter how fantastical the stories were, where the child was the story’s hero.
She was caressing her hand on his head with affection in between.
They stayed there for a while. Then he waved his hand to that lady and departed.
She kept looking at him until he was out of her sight with her sparkling eyes.
Her face filled with a feeling of deep happiness and affection.
Sometimes, we get that unconditional love in just one moment, which we keep searching for all our lives.
The old lady receives a renewed sense of purpose and joy from the child’s youthful energy and unfiltered view of the world. She sees the world with fresh eyes through him, noticing beauty in places she had long stopped looking. He brings her laughter with a reminder that life is to be lived in the moment.
It’s a love that asks for nothing in return and gives everything freely. There are no conditions, no expectations — just a mutual appreciation and joy in each other’s company. This bond is beyond worldly things
Pure and unconditional love captivates by every soul in this universe…
