Are You Excited About Tomorrow?
Change is good.
Are you excited to wake up the following day when you go to bed at night? Is there something you can’t wait for?
It’s the opposite of big days, like your first day at a new job, the first time you go on a holiday with your girlfriend/boyfriend, getting your diploma, or signing a big deal.
Those things are nice and all. But most days of your life are the same.
Do you know that feeling? You look back, and time seems to blend. You can’t separate days from each other. There’s a real danger in that feeling.
The next step is that you can’t separate the weeks from each other, that is what happens when every day is the same. And after a while, you stop noticing many things. You just go with it.
And finally, the years start to blend. And all of a sudden, you’re 80 years old, and you’re sitting in a chair, and you say:
“What happened to my life? Where did all my time go?”
The problem is that we don’t treat every day as a separate life. We wake up, drink coffee/tea, care for our family, work, make money, do groceries, have drinks, watch Netflix, and go to bed. Or whatever your routine is.
The next day, you wake up and repeat the exact same thing.
