Ambitious. Ambition. The ambition of Tupac Shakur. Most times we fail not because we’re not hardworking or talented but because we’re not ambitious enough. We’re not willing to take that bold step, we’re afraid to leave our comfort zones, we’re too lazy to go the extra mile.

Tupac Shakur was so ambitious, he was crazy enough to believe he could change the world and that even if he couldn’t, he would spark the brain that will change the world. He would light up a fire, a burning desire from within, dormant in someone who would eventually be crazy enough to change the world.

What a man. What faulty ambition and to be sincere Tupac was ambitious to a fault. His struggles paid off, his ambition took him very far. Till this day, I don’t think there is a place you would go and there isn’t one person who doesn’t know Tupac Shakur. His name still rings a bell. He was ambitious enough.

Simply put it as a strong desire to do or achieve something. An earnest desire for some type of achievement or distinction, such as power, honour, fame, wealth and the willingness to strive for its attainment.

Ambition is the desire and motivation to continuously achieve increasingly difficult goals. It’s the spark inside you that compels you to try your best at everything you do.

Examples of ambition look different for each person, as everyone’s marker for daunting yet fulfilling is unique. We have types of ambitions, but that would be a discussion for another day.

I am still where I am today because I am not ambitious enough to pursue the goals I set for myself. I fall every now and then. Too lazy to get up and work, though some unavoidable challenges help in holding us back, but an ambitious man will still push through no matter what.

Breaking it down in words means dedication, unwavering commitment, consistency and discipline. I holler out my humble self to those men who set high goals for themselves and are disciplined enough to pursue them.

To become ambitious first you need to master the act of self discipline. Ambition is but a burning desire, a passion, the willingness to work, to achieve, while discipline requires the practical, dedication, commitment, consistency, hardwork, waking up early, staying up late to work, to pursue your dreams, to get what you want, even when you don’t feel like it.

Ambitious people tend to be dedicated, motivated and not afraid to work hard and take initiative because they know that it will take proactive effort to reach their goal and be successful. They tend to also be focused, typically knowing what they want to achieve and being prepared to work in that direction.

The world doesn’t care, it moves fast, life itself is unfair and the universe would rather pass by than to stop and see what makes you cry. Blame game and self pity isn’t the key if you really want to achieve anything worthwhile in life. You need to become ambitious.

You need to have that burning desire, a strong passion and a yearning for growth and achievement, a sparking motivation, a flaming fire from within if you truly want to attain attainable heights.

The sky can be the limit or the starting point, whichever one you choose to believe. What matters most is your ability to work and learn in order to acquire and achieve and to become who you are meant to be.

Who are you and what is your Why? I believe your “Why” should wake you up in the morning, I believe your “Why” should motivate your ambitious desires.

Set goals. Take risks. Invest in yourself. Eliminate negativity. Don’t wait. Surround yourself with ambitious people. Start off by reflecting on who you are now and where you want to be in the future. Think about what’s important to you, your strengths, goals and passion and determine where there’s a gap, how much effort you’re willing to put in and how much time you have available.

Your ambition for the future should be to continue to grow, develop and make meaningful progress in your life and career. Work hard and never stop striving for success, constantly push yourself to achieve even more.

Behavioral genetic studies, which quantify the degree of genetic versus non genetic causes of observable traits and behaviors, indicate that ambition is around 44% heritable.

To file it in a lay man’s understanding, it means you already have (according to behavioral science) up to 44% of ambition in you. Then what stops you from fueling that desire in you. What stops you from striving to reach the top when you already have that drive deposited in you by God.

Please I urge you as a friend to fuel that desire in you instead of complaining about everything. Ambitious people may be financially stable. Having a driving ambition and desire to succeed can mean they work hard, commit to a schedule, and try to go above and beyond at work.

Due to long hours and dedication, they might earn more than people who work just to get by. Be a go getter and don’t live just to get by. Become ambitious. Become more confident. Stop putting others before you. Raise your standards. Stop thinking that you’re not worth it. Appreciate your own body.

Learn to be alone. Stop thinking that you don’t have what it takes. Let go of everything that isn’t right for you. Instead of dwelling in your past, use it as a tool, an experience you’ve acquired and an experiment to work for your future. Become ambitious enough and believe you can achieve whatever goal you set for yourself.

My ambition is to be more than just a Writer. The elevation of today’s generation if I could make them listen. And I wish I could make them listen. For them to listen to me I have to upgrade, I have to move higher and to be sincere; I desire higher positions.
