Do You Know the Difference Between a Marketer and a Writer?
Here is a hint — one is trying to screw you
Not everyone has your best interests in mind.
You should always question things, especially anything you read online. Most people don’t have any ill intentions, but a few people are more than happy to create false hope and take your money at the same time.
These so-called writers are actually marketers, and they are trying to sell you the dream of writing. The problem is that nothing comes free, and you will most likely be disappointed with the results.
How can you tell the difference between a marketer and a writer?
A marketer is all about sharing numbers and throwing around percentages to inflate their questionable statistics. All of this is designed to build false hope and make them appear to be a “thought leader.”
It’s easy to fall into this trap if you don’t ever question the actions of others. Do you really think someone who is so successful wants to help other writers succeed and create even more competition for them?
Do you think they are just an amazing person who wants to improve the lives of others? Probably not.
