I visited Durham City with my friends during Christmas time. We drove from New Castle upon Tyne to Durham. It was a smooth and comfortable drive of around 40 minutes. There was no traffic on the road due to the holiday season. We reached Durham around 4 pm.
We planned to first visit the Durham Castle. The castle was historic but magnificent. It was beautifully built. We were in awe of its beauty and intricate architecture.
The Durham Cathedral is also famous due to its prominent shooting location for the Harry Potter movies. I have always been fascinated with Harry Potter since childhood.
