There are various techniques to boost your self-confidence. Whether you lack confidence in a certain area or struggle with confidence in general, these suggestions can help you become more confident.

  1. Stop comparing yourself with others.

Do you compare your appearance to those you follow on Instagram? Alternatively, you could compare your salary to that of a friend.

The social comparison hypothesis suggests that creating comparisons is natural. But it is unlikely to help you gain confidence. It can possibly have the reverse effect.

When you compare yourself to others, you feel envious. And the more envious you are, the lower confidence in yourself.

How do you boost your confidence when you realize you’re making comparisons?

Always tell yourself that doing so is not beneficial. Everyone is running their own race, and life is not a competition.
