Facebook Now Paying Creators for Views on Stories
The creator economy is booming
Facebook is launching the capability for creators to make money for views on stories. This new option for monetization is available around the world to creators already part of Facebook’s Content Monetization program.
With the new option, creators may earn revenue from content they’re already sharing and producing if they post it to their FB story. For instance, if a creator creates a recipe reel or video, they may share a snippet of it to their Facebook story. In addition, they may earn revenue by posting Facebook story content about their daily lives like they usually would.
A spokesperson for Facebook said that stories payouts get driven by content performance and that creators may begin to earn money without first reaching a certain threshold for views.
