Google is Actually Winning the AI Race (The Brilliant Secret)
You think it’s a search company. It’s a 25-year-old simulation
First of all, I want to say sorry.
Recently, I wrote a blog about Google, where I said Google was losing its edge and losing its search game to OpenAI, as most people started to use ChatGPT instead of Google.
I focused on the daily fight for search dominance.
I was wrong. Dead wrong.
But Google itself is silently building an entire ecosystem around them that no one would even dare to break.
And to OpenAI and every other company in the AI race, here’s the thing: the very technology that powers this revolution, the “T” in GPT, the Transformer architecture, wasn’t their invention.
It was born inside Google. It came from their 2017 paper, “Attention Is All You Need.”
