We are all humans, and we all feel jealous at some point. Jealousy often stems from feelings of inferiority or the belief that we lack certain qualities. We experience this feeling in our workplaces, families, closest relationships, or even with friends.

In reaction to this emotion, we sometimes hurt people. Due to an inferiority complex, we project our insecurities onto them and express our anger in different ways.

Feelings of jealousy can lead to passive aggressive behavior, criticism, or gossip as we try to protect our self image. Some may withdraw, act cold, or try to outshine the person they envy. Jealousy can also trigger overthinking and emotional stress if not managed well.

But once we start focusing on when and why we do it, it becomes easy to be calm or react wisely.

Sometimes, we don’t even realize that we’re showing the world how insecure we are when we express this emotion in a toxic way.
