I stopped buying fitness books and got myself a nutritionist instead.

Fitness books consist of either cringeworthy diets or overly complicated science, you’d need a PhD to understand. And if we're similar in any way, you get overwhelmed by the bullshit diets and end up failing and blaming yourself.

By the time I got a nutritionist I had accepted weight loss was a marathon and not a 3-week sprint, and my only goal was to get simple, yet highly applicable steps to finally cut some weight.

Here are the 6 golden rules that worked.

2 Short Workouts Instead of 1 Long Session

Sitting for 8 hours a day does more metabolic damage than you can imagine.

A single 45-minute workout, followed by hours of sitting, drops your metabolic rate for the rest of your day, effectively negating the benefits of your workout. On the other hand, 2 workouts spaced out keep your metabolic system on its toes, which has a 2 fold benefit for fat loss:

  1. Boosted Fat Oxidation (more fat burned)
  2. Lower Insulin Levels (lets your body burn fat instead of carbs)
