Networking at this level requires patience, but it can definitely change the face of your career when done right.

It is not really intimidating to connect with CEOs and high-level executives.

It’s all about real interest, strategic thinking, and consistent engagement.

Here’s how I do it and, in my opinion, effectively connect and foster relationships that can last.

Start with Real Research

Step number one? Research.

If you want to connect meaningfully with someone, learn what drives them.

Keep an eye on their recent projects, interesting industry insights they have shared, and even some of the challenges their company is facing.

It’s a great way to genuinely connect but also shows that you’ve put in the effort.

Instead of putting in a note like “I’d love to connect,” be specific.

Bring that up if they just recently shared an opinion on an important industry trend or were featured in an interview.

“I really appreciated your insights on that particular topic in your recent post. That sparked in me the related idea of.”.
