Most writers overthink the writing process, especially ideas. They want the perfect idea but end up procrastinating instead.

I struggled to find the perfect ideas when I began my writing journey. However, rather than chasing views, likes, or earnings, I enjoyed the process.

Therefore, I kept writing about whatever I wanted. I didn’t niche down my topics. My ideas were random, and I didn’t care what people thought of them.

For instance, I wrote about personal finance, health, career development, motivation, and other inspirational content. As I said, my topics were random.

Most professionals suggest you pick a niche to attract an audience that cares about a topic. I never understood this because it takes away your writing freedom, especially as a beginner.

When you are starting, quantity matters more than quality. Focus on quantity first. Quality will follow.

Not knowing what to write about allows you to experiment with multiple topics. You can write about anything — experiences, lessons, and exciting things.
