I Found a New Game to Play on Medium

A way to pass the time if you don’t feel like writing or reading

I’m not always in the mood to write or read articles on Medium. Every now and then, my brain needs a little break from working 20 hours a day. So, what do I like to do to pass the time? I like to block accounts.

Yes, I’ve already mentioned this in an earlier article, but this is a little different. I also need to let you know this is what I do for fun and I’m not suggesting someone should stop writing or reading to spend time blocking accounts — unless you feel like it.

Drinking a cup of coffee before playing the blocking game also makes it more enjoyable. It’s like I’m on a mission to eliminate moles. I knock one down, but another one always pops up. The good or bad part about this game is that it’s endless.

You will never be able to block all of the fraud/spam accounts, but on the bright side, you will never get bored because it’s impossible to eliminate all of them.

Blocking generic comments on your own articles is fairly straightforward but they don’t always appear, so you’ll have to do a lot of waiting.

The best way to avoid boredom is to stay proactive by hunting these accounts. An easy way to find them is to check a really popular article and…
