I Love You For A Thousand Years
A love note from my mom in heaven.
Today, I was gifted a wave hello from heaven from my Mom.
Do you ever get those?
Sometimes, Mom waves hello as a hummingbird or a robin. Today, in the form of a watch and a song.
January 18th is the anniversary of my Mom’s passing. She’s been on my mind and in my heart a lot lately. I’ve been chatting to her and holding space for our connection in life and now beyond. I don’t feel her around me as often as I used to. Dreams are the best because then I can feel her.
But here is what happened today.
My Mom had a dear friend named Donna. They met in Grade seven. Above is a picture of them in 1952. They left Toronto to adventure all over Europe for months at age 22. The picture is the day they came home.
Donna passed away last month on December 18th, and oddly, without knowing, the family planned Donna’s celebration of life for today, January 18th, the day of my Mom’s passing. Together still. I can imagine them laughing about it all up there in heaven.
Back to the gifts.
Mom showed up in two distinct ways today to let me know she was near.
