When I started my career in Tech, I thought success was all about writing great code, learning new frameworks, and working hard.

Boy, I was so naive and wrong.

Looking back, I realize that some of the biggest lessons didn’t come from what I did right but from the mistakes I made along the way. I could have grown much faster if I had avoided these earlier, which I regret not doing so earlier in my career.

Honestly, I did not have a mentor to guide me, and I was also very ignorant of the path I was pursuing.

But now, a decade later, I see the mistakes I made in Tech, which I want to share with you so that you can learn from them instead of making them yourself.

1. Chasing Every New Tech Trend

In my early years, I was obsessed with learning every new programming language and framework. I believed that keeping up with the latest trends would make me a better engineer.

But It didn’t.
