I Wish I Had Texted Him That Day— Now It’s Too Late
I saw his name on a ‘Rest in Peace’ post and my heart sank
In September 2021, I joined a digital marketing company.
On the first day of training, we were asked to gather in the conference room. A few guys were already chatting when I walked in.
I took a seat, and across the table sat a guy with a strong build, a charming face, metal-framed aviator glasses, and a simple shirt with folded sleeves. He was wearing chinos and sneakers.
Overall...he looked like a whole casual-cool package.
Then he started talking....about hill stations, renting cars and budget trips with friends. He could go on forever...and yes, it was kind of annoying.
We introduced ourselves. Right after I mentioned my name, he began asking me everything— my hobbies, where I stayed, what I liked.
His questions just did not stop!
So, that was Shane, let’s call him Shane.
Back then, I was not the most polite person.
I gave him dry, one-word replies. But that did not stop him. Even during sessions, he would ask the trainer endless questions— "How does that work?" "Is this similar to that?" Always curious...Always extra.
