I started 2025 with a goal — publish daily. I was excited, determined. December had been amazing: First month here ,1,000 reads, and $90 earned. It felt like I was building something real. My words were reaching people, my stories were getting engagement, and for the first time, Medium felt like a space where effort paid off.

Then January came. And everything crashed.

I still showed up. I published 14 stories even amidst all the EPR chaos and personal stuff going on. I poured my thoughts onto the page, engaged with other writers, stayed consistent. Readers were still there, commenting, clapping, reading. And yet, my earnings didn’t reflect that at all!!!.

One of my stories had 183 reads and I earned $0.09.Hurrah I guess !!

That moment? Felt like a Gut punch honestly….
