A musing about when possessions don’t possess us

AI Imagery

The World kisses Self-worth with this thinking;

‘You need things’ (that you actually don’t).

Self-worth comes from Sacred Duty (aka your Soul’s purpose)…

When you have children,
they will have different Sacred Duty
than yours…

But you each owe each other this:

Pure Love.

They will demand new toys.
You will buy them.

They will ask for more,
and because you Love them,
you will oblige.

You leave the house but
kiss them before you go.

Our World kisses their Self-worth with this thinking;

‘You need things’ (that you actually don’t)…

Children are innocent miscreants.

Your patience will be tested
and at the same time,
your Love will grow…

And your Sacred Duty is always the same;
‘You need to love them’ (no matter what).

Kiss them before you go.

………………………………………………………………….

Coda:

I learnt this from a friend named Chance
who lost his wife… while we were making
a big budget action movie,
in a foreign country on the ice tundra.

His young kids lost their mother.

Indifferent of the weather,
he always wore shorts.

And signed his posts:

Kiss them before you go.
