Last Month Was the Month I Wrote the Most
But my earnings did not grow
In May, I started to write in Medium after a break of several months. To my surprise, my earnings increased a lot after this break. While I was earning 20–30$ before I stopped writing, my earnings were up to 50$ in May. Also, I was earning some dollars during my break due to my previous articles (5–10$).
Therefore, I was really happy and motivated, and I supposed that increasing the articles I write will increase my earnings. However, that was not the situation. In June, I wrote twice as many articles as I normally write. I usually write 4 articles per month, while in June I wrote 7. The problem was that instead of growing, my profits decreased.
The graph below shows my earnings since I started to write in Medium until this month. It shows the increase in my earnings after my break, up to 50$, and it also shows my earnings in June 2024.
Therefore, I’m a little bit unmotivated because although I wrote more articles, my income was even less than before the break.
Right now, I’m trying to figure out what was the problem. My point of view is that the increase in the number of articles written reduced the quality. What do you think? I appreciate any help on this.
