I still remember during it's initial days the social media promised to reconnect people with their long-lost friends.
Instead, we got strangers sliding into our DMs with “Hey, you look cute” and hundreds of " good morning “ and "good night " messages.
Interestingly, these days, social media has become less about connection and more about the fake ads, trolling videos, and how to bake a cake videos.
Where Conversations Actually Happen
On Medium, if I write something, people read it and comment with actual thoughts.
Compared to social media, where we post something and get thumbs-up or a heart emoji or a cat GIF.
There's even no need of small talks or any "hi!" and "hello" , we can directly get to the point and write it down on our posts or someone's comments.
