My Outing With Neelam Yesterday Showed Me a New Perspective on Maturity
It showed me that things we ignored when we were young can become important as we grow older
When I was a young kid, all I wanted to do was play cricket with my friends, get lost in video games, or have fun with local games in the neighborhood. Like many kids, my hobbies were simple, playful, and fun. I loved collecting key chains, climbing trees, and doing all those small things that made me feel like a hero in front of my friends. I was like any other kid — fascinated by cartoons, animated movies, and the latest action shows.
Whenever my parents turned on the news or watched some serious program, I would always complain and ask them to change the channel. I mean, who wants to hear about politics and old historical events or visit an art gallery or museum? To me, all of that seemed boring and uninteresting.
And I know many of you felt the same way when you were young — it’s almost like a universal rule of childhood, right?
But things start changing as we grow older…
But then, something strange happens as we grow older. We start to see things differently. Our hobbies, interests, and even our likes and dislikes begin to shift.
