I was experiencing a trance state when I took a train to get to work a few days ago. I was tired. I hadn’t felt this exhausted in a long time.

The night before, I had planned to sleep early. I had been working hard at my real-life, non-online job for a few days on 5–6 hours of sleep per night, and it was beginning to show.

I went to bed at 11:00 p.m., but then, much to the despair of the rest of my body, it happened.

I worked online until 1 a.m., brainstorming ideas, registering domains, and becoming excited about the possibilities. If I hadn’t forced myself to eventually get some rest, I doubt I would have.

While reading X formerly known as Twitter on my phone, I wrote a seemingly unimportant tweet:

“No Amount of Caffeine Can Outshine a Great Idea”

Those remarks hung about in my thoughts for the rest of the day.

I couldn’t even get out of bed the previous day ‘cus I was so tired, let alone compose today’s post (on something completely unrelated).
