In this present age, so majority of persons have failed to understand the array of money-making opportunities the internet has in stock.

Too many people mistake everyone who has for long embraced the oil flow of internet technology for online fraud… Yahoo is like it is called in Nigeria.

When you are glued to your mobile phone or personal computer, you are doing nothing but looking for a way to scam the white men.

When I look at people with such a mentality, I laugh at the times — The world has left such people behind.

Onireke in his words, writes;

I was reading a story the other day in the Punch newspaper.

It was about a teenager who was earning millions of naira through coding.

He works for two companies in Italy and gets most of his work through referrals.

What amazes me in his story is the fact that he doesn’t even have a certificate.

But he has a functioning brain that offers values.

And he is doing quite well.

Another thing that caught my attention in his story is that, when he started coding, his parent thought he was “mad” because coding languages are written in jargon — — that’s why it is called “coding”.

In SAP (System Applications Products in Data Processing) which I do, you won’t know “FERT” is a code for “Finished Goods” unless you are told.

That’s why his parent thought he was going insane from what they saw him doing on the system.

A similar story is that of someone I heard about. A friend of my friend.

He was wrongly labeled a “Yahoo boy” just because he bought a car and rented a new apartment.

He is living a decent and modest lifestyle but not an extravagant or flamboyant one.

So, when he was challenged repeatedly with being a “Gboy” because he would stay indoors, pressing his laptop all day, he told them the unexpected.

“I am not a Yahoo Boy as you all assume. God forbid!”

I am only a blogger who makes money from “Google Adsense” just like the owners of Nairaland, Legit Ng, Linda Ikeji, and the rest.

Bring out your phone go online and search for my blog. I blog about “Relationships and Mental Health.”

Everyone remained dumbfounded.

The Nigerian and by far, the African parents must come to terms with the reality of the digital age and harness the exploits therein.

Many well-informed youths are carving a niche for themselves through information technology in this age because the new oil is…ICT.

The other day, a colleague’s brother was hired by a career man to coach his 7-year-old coding.

Be that as it may, the government, and of course, the entire system should intensify efforts in educating the youths to hone tech skills and create an enabling environment for them to explore their talents.

In the public and private sectors, there should be less emphasis on paperwork (certificates) and more value on brainwork (Sabificate).

Technologically advanced countries do not care about your degrees; they pay you for what you can offer!

Just arm yourself with the required skills and see yourself becoming a sought-after consultant.

You can learn virtually everything online (especially on YouTube): Graphic Design, Programming, JavaScript, Python, Oracle, Blockchain, Coding, SAP, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Copywriting among other high-income tech skills.

Just get the background knowledge first o, online thenenroll yourself in any tech company (or a personal coach) within and outside your locality to become a professional.

Unlike others, tech skills usually take a few months to learn and master.

Instead of complaining about unemployment or doing money rituals all in the name of “Yahoo Plus”, use your brain, your phone and that laptop to learn legit and high-paying skills.

You only need to sanitize your heart, reshape your mindset, be contended, be futuristic, be disciplined, be decisive, and TAKE THE RIGHT STEP…TODAY!

This life is complex. We’ve got to play our part to make the best out of it. That’s why I am writing to right. Onireke is a flawed personality; I can’t always be right. Take the message and let’s beseech God to better our lives so that we can emerge victoriously.

I wish you the best. ❤🙏😊
