1. Trim the fat
I’m embarrassed to admit this.
But I tend to add words to sentences for no reason. Flabby sentences weigh down your writing. You get told to relax and write like you talk. But this is the last thing you should do.
You want your writing to feel crisp and sharp. So remove every word you don’t need. But this is harder than it sounds. So let’s try a little test.
