Slow Writer? Me Too. But Here are 7 Tricks That Work For Me
The algorithm is always hungry, and here’s how to feed it — fast.
Do you also feel this?
Like the ideas are jammed inside your head, desperate to break free but the door is locked from outside. It’s frustrating, right?
And times when you are brimming with ideas as you walk or clean the counters, but the moment you sit down to write, the ideas sulk and hide.
These are some moments in a slow writer’s life; I was one of them for a long time. This breed has a couple of problems — starting problems, getting into the flow problem, etc.
You may ask why writing fast matters. Why care whether the piece takes 10 minutes, 4 hours, or 5 days? Well, it kinda does. Because when you take too long to write a piece, the math says you will produce less.
And low production doesn’t sit well with algorithm — the online God.
But stress not. We will not do anything rash. We will just change the (writing) system a bit and attune our minds to finish the job faster —
without killing the joy of writing.
