Though getting a rejection sometimes feels like the end of the world, it shouldn’t be.

In his book Dreams From My Father, Barrack Obama narrates how he came across numerous rejection letters from various universities worldwide while going through his late father’s belongings.

His father went to one of the world’s top 5 unis.

Imagine how many rejections he had to endure to reach that one acceptance. It must have been exhausting and frustrating.

Made me think, how many times do we want to give up? Here we are, tempted to throw in the towel after a few no’s. Frustrated? Yes. Draining? Yes. Want to give up? Of course, it’s just too much. Too many rejections.

Of course, how could they not see the effort, physical and psychological energy, time, money, hope, and much more you invested in the project for which you’re facing rejection?

Be it a refusal in an audition, a submission, a job, or a school, they all feel awful. Just mastering the…
