Every person carries a world inside them
Have you ever witnessed a moment that completely changes how you see the world? I did.
And it happened in the most unexpected place — a dusty construction site where my father taught me the true meaning of love.
Early morning, the sun just peeking over the horizon, and my dad walking through a labour camp. Not like a boss, but like a friend. He would stop, look each worker in the eye, and ask, “How are you?” But he wasn’t just saying words. He was truly listening.
I watched, wide-eyed, as he spoke to every single person. The older worker with weathered hands, the young man dreaming of a better future, the quiet woman carrying silent struggles — each one mattered to him. Completely mattered.
“Tell me everything,” he would say.
And he meant it. Personal problems, work challenges, family issues — nothing was too small.
My father would sit, listen, and try to help.
