I’ve been using these tools for about two months now, and my engagement on Medium has more than tripled. I believe they play a huge role in this improvement.

1. Google Analytics

Google Analytics provides helpful insights into your Medium audience and their behaviour. Understanding your readers’ demographics and interests, as well as how they find your articles, can help you tailor your posts to better meet their needs.

This targeted approach can lead to higher reader engagement, more followers, and increased opportunities for monetization through the Medium Partner Program or other means.

2. Canva

Canva is a free, user-friendly graphic design tool that allows you to create stunning pictures and videos for your Medium articles. You can easily design eye-catching featured images, videos, and graphics to go with your writing.

As we all know, visually appealing articles tend to attract more readers and shares on Medium and other social media platforms.

3. CoSchedule Headline Analyzer

This tool helps you create catchy headlines for your Medium articles. You simply enter your headline idea, and it gives you a score based on its effectiveness. It analyzes factors like word balance, length, and emotional appeal to help you optimize your headlines for maximum engagement and clicks.

4. Buffer

Buffer is a social media management tool that allows you to schedule and automate posts across various platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You can promote your Medium articles to a wider audience by scheduling posts at optimal times for maximum visibility.

This helps drive more traffic to your articles, and increases your chances of earning through the Medium Partner Program.

5. Hemingway Editor

Hemingway Editor is a free tool that simplifies your writing, and makes it easier for readers to understand. It highlights complex sentences, passive voice, and unnecessary adverbs, helping you create clear and concise articles.

On Medium, where readers prefer straightforward content, Hemingway Editor ensures your writing is easily understandable, which can lead to more views, claps, and ultimately, higher earnings.
