I’ve read many stupid articles on Medium and other blogs. By “stupid,” I mean unconvincing. The writer wrote the post based on his own beliefs about an idea. His writing had no credibility. He was neither an expert on the topic nor did he do any research.

Since online writing is easily accessible to anyone with an internet connection, it’s more likely to find articles with low credibility. It would have been more convenient if the article had been written by an expert.

Most writers write about anything they want. They give advice and make some bold claims.

Why would anyone take advice from a random stranger on the internet?

Some also try to sell information. Again, how did the writer know about it? Since they haven’t mentioned any source, readers won’t trust them.

Readers seek value in your writing. Therefore, writing an article they can believe in is crucial. Do your homework before talking about a topic or idea. There are two things you must consider to make your writing more credible.

Do your research well
