Spring is a great time of the year in Texas if you don’t get blown away by a tornado or encounter a snake.

If you didn’t know, I hate snakes. You might even consider it a phobia.

Today must have been my lucky day because I didn’t see one but two snakes. The first was a harmless grass snake that slithered in front of me while I was walking.

The second was a 3-foot copperhead that was in the middle of my carport. Obviously, I’m not getting out of my car to chop its head off because I don’t feel like accidentally getting bit and taking a trip to the hospital.

So, I use the only weapon at my disposal, which is a Dodge Charger.

Without thinking, I drove as quickly as possible to run over its head, and then I put it in reverse to finish the job.

I went a little faster than expected in reverse because the wheels of my car spun out, and I somehow skinned most of the snake, took off part of its head, and all of its meat and guts were hanging out.

At least I didn’t have to worry about him getting away.

The bad part is that I now have a dead snake with its guts and blood all over my carport. Did I mention I have a slight phobia?
