What’s happening on Substack?

The best time to have joined Substack was yesterday, the next best time was last week, Tuesday.

I know you’ve probably come across articles on why you should join Substack but everything has already been said but because we were all busy scrolling through our phones, it has to be said again.

So, here I am, repeating it one more time.

If I had to explain Substack to a friend, I’d say it’s like 9–5ers catching a 30-minute break from their job. Why 9-to-5ers? Because, unlike other blogging or social platforms, people on Substack use their real names — first name, last name, the whole deal. The only other platform that shares that vibe is LinkedIn.

Here’s what’s happening on Substack right now:

1. Photoshoots aren’t just for birthdays anymore. Writers here value their readers so much, that they’ll throw a photoshoot just to celebrate hitting that milestone:

2. Older adults are dropping wisdom bombs. They’re warning younger generations that youth isn’t as permanent as it feels. Nature’s way of saying, “You thought you’d stay forever YOUNG…
